The Kromdraai Valley lies in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage site 45 minutes from the centers of Johannesburg and Tshwane. It is a destination for diverse cultural, environmental, social and scientific impact, led by philanthropic initiatives including the NIROX Foundation, Villa-Legodi Centre for Sculpture and Columba Leadership Residency.
Kromdraai Impact Hub joins these initiatives to provide residencies, projects and workshops for collaborative creativity that has a positive social impact.
It draws from and expands on NIROX Foundation’s extensive experience in providing residencies, exhibitions, workshops, concerts and facilitating projects for artists from all disciplines.
The Hub has a bifocal approach to use creativity to inspire and enable local disadvantaged communities and to provide expert learning and growth opportunity for creatives and social activists, of all kinds. Projects are typically hosted by subject masters, driven to elevate others through creativity, empathy and shared social purpose.

The Hub actively collaborates with organizations that share its mission, aiming to create a significant impact within the community and across other environments.
By carefully curating and developing projects from the ground up, The Hub ensures that each initiative is tailored to meet specific goals. This comprehensive process includes providing full access to The Hub's facilities and resources within the valley, empowering partner organizations to maximize their potential and achieve meaningful results.
